Hasbro's 8 inch Venom figure is from the Spider-Man 3 movie line of 360 Unleashed. So far there are 4 characters from Spidey lore given the Unleashed treatment: Red and blue Spidey, Venom, The New Goblin and the so far super rare Black Suited Spider-Man. This rendition of Venom has "Ultimate articulation". It is highly poseable and comes with a large, black ooze base which is great for all types of poses. I'm lovin' those awesome poseable fingers! Figure highlights include: Great texture on the sculpt (especially for a mass produced toy), moving jaw with poseable tounge, and my favorite feature on this toy is the intricately bendable hands with individual finger joints. Cons include: Some of the realism is lost by the visible joints and the lower body is not as poseable as it could be. Overall if you can pick this up for around 20 bucks it should be a welcome addition for Venom fans. 360 Unleashed Venom gets an 8.9 out of 10

Nightwatch Optimus Prime This new Optimus (Leader Class) standing at an awesome 13 inches tall is from the new Allspark line of Transformers. Prime, now infused with power from the Allspark, can go into stealth mode - hence the colors. The detail on this toy is impressive - from realistic rubber tires to individually moving fingers. Truck mode even has a working horn and cab lights. There are not as many flames as the original version but the nighttime blue look really adds a whole different attitude to Optimus. The transformation process is challenging but not impossible as every part has a logical place to go. This version of Prime sports the automorph action (which basically is an automatic finish to the transformation into robot mode) with working lights. Unlike many Transformer figures both the vehicle and the robot modes are top notch. I can't decide which form to display this guy in because they are both so cool! I have transformed countless robots in my lifetime but I have to say this is probably the most well done Transformer I've ever seen. Nightwatch Optimus Prime is a great toy and one of the few 40 dollar figures you will find that is actually worth the cash. I give the Nightwatch Optimus Prime a 9.5 out of 10Here is how I currently have this dude displayed
