There's no question on who's a better Joker. Ledger is and I haven't even see the movie yet! Joker is one of my all time favorite characters so I'm super critical when it comes to him in comics/etc. but Nicholson was just...well, laughable (nothing against the actor though).

I LOVE IT! What do you use to make your animations, MIB? I wish I knew how to do more than one trick on Photoshop when it comes to animation

Wow! I never thought that this thread would take a sad turn but with the loss of Heath Ledger I guess The Dark Knight movie will come under more scrutiny.
I don't pretend to know what happened to Ledger. I do know that he was a tremendously talented actor. It appears that he gave a great deal of his life's energy to this film. In interviews he admitted that his commitment to the Joker character had caused sleepless nights due to the dark and immoral nature of the villain. I have a feeling that everyone of us who watch the movie will be in awe of his performance.
Truly a great loss to the entertainment industry. Rock on Heath, I hope you are in a better place.

Thanks for the link to the animation thread MIB! I can't reply in that thread so I'm doing so here. I'm going to check out the program as soon as I'm done with this post I refrained from reply to your post when I first saw it MIB because I was too broken up about it. I loved Heath Ledger and when I heard what happened, I was lurking at my RPG and some of our members were talking about it in the c-box. I was about to kick their butts for saying something so horrible when I realized they weren't lying. The rest of the day, my stomach did turns, I couldn't sleep, I was kind of b#$%@y with Drago (which I apologize deeply) and just overall bothered by it. He was such a great and talented actor. He was one of the most down to Earth celebrities you'll find. Heath committed himself to his work so much, putting his heart and soul into any and all his roles. To watch him on film was magical. This role as the Joker was going to immortalize Heath. I truly believe it was going to be his break out performance (even more so than Brokeback). The movie is going to be great, Joker is going to be grea, Heath is going to be great. RIP Heath

I am so looking forward to this movie - loved Batman Begins. When I found out Heath Ledger was the Joker, I became more interested. Now, like MIB said, we will watch with awe, and a little sadness.
Also, wanted to mention I started a Heath Ledger thread on this board. It's just too sad.
