What part of history do you find the most interesting?
It is a hard decision as I find all of history so fascinating, but the WWII period is my favorite to look back at. My Grandfather landed at Omaha Beach two weeks after D-Day. He walked for three years in the Army infantry - He was in Czechoslovakia when Germany surrendered. The transport ship he was on in the Pacific was headed to battle until the A-bombs were dropped causing the Japanese also to surrender.
One of my most cherished memories is seeing the movie "Saving Private Ryan" with my Grandfather. He answered all of my questions about his service then and he even let me interview him for a newspaper article. He has several medals including The Purple Heart and the Silver Star (He let me scan his medals for the article). He is still living today and I consider myself honored to be able talk to him about his experiences.

This is a hard question to answer. Being a religious person, I think my favorite time period would probably be early A.D., the time Jesus was alive in Israel. So much happened in that era that was both good and bad, in the Holy Land, as well as America (according to my religious beliefs. I would be glad to talk about that for anyone who would like to hear.) I would not have liked it if I had my child killed by Herod's soldiers, for example, or for my life to be threatened if I did not denounce my faith in God and the prophets, but how cool would it have been to hear the Sermon on the Mount, or any of the lessons Jesus taught.
Even if a person does not believe in God, you can't dismiss that Jesus taught a lot of good. ;D

I've thought many times how awesome it would have been to witness the Sermon on the Mount. There are so many churches today with as many ways to operate, but that was truly the perfect church.
