Anyone else here a fan of Orson Scott Card's Ender series beginning withe the book Ender's Game. That book and its sequel Speaker for the Dead each won both the Hugo and Nebula awards.
I will put a review up soon for Ender's Game.

I just finished Ender's Shadow, the novel that takes place during the exact timeframe of Ender's Game. ES follows the story of Ender's fellow battle school student Bean. It is a bit darker but it is wonderful.
Now I've started Shadow of the Hegemon which is the sequel to Ender's Shadow. It continues to follow Bean and also brings in Peter Wiggin, Ender's brother as a world leader.
I highly recommend this whole line of books, you will find none better.

I think you're right, I am on ES right now then I may go back and read SFTD. these are such great books, I recommend them too, to mature readers. I could do without some of the language, but the stories are wonderful.
