I love to swim and actually had lifegaurd training when I was a teenager. I had some inner ear trouble a few years back that cost me about 60% of my hearing in one ear - so now I'm careful never to get water in that ear. Marii and I go kayaking a lot though and have just recently started taking the Bobbins along

Does anyone here go swimming on a regular basis? I wish I could. I used to have a membership at the Comfort Inn Health Spa and I would go swimming all the time, but now with kids... Need I say more? I go swimming when I can, and I usually abandon the boys for a few minutes to actually swim and not just splash around with the kids. MIB, there was one time about 3 years ago before my younger boy was born that I could not hear out of one ear, and the other one was very muffled. I could not figure it out. I was at a family party, and couldn't hear anything anyone was telling me, and I was crying because I couldn't hear. Shortly after that, I went to the doctor, and he pulled out a huge plug of earwax out of each ear. And I could hear again! It felt like a miracle, and a very painful one at that.

I have had that done before, it is not a lot of fun... but it is a great relief to get it cleaned out. My hearing loss came from a severe inner ear infection that bothered me for almost a year.

Ouch. I just have wax build-up that was worse that time than normal. Ear infections are not fun.
Neither are colds. Sinus issues, congestion, cough. Head swimming. I was glad on Saturday when I was able to go home early. I nearly called in sick that day. Last night, I actually got to bed before 10:00, and that helped so I feel much better today.
Winter is setting in more here in Utah. Not able to get up the canyon for the fall colors this year. All the leaves have already fallen, for the most part. And the higher peaks of the mountains have a fresh layer of snow since yesturday.

Wow! I hope we get to see some snow here this year... and not the nasty icestorms, just good old fashioned snowman building snow.

We're getting snow in the southern area of the state. They already have reports of over 6 inches. But then, they're at a higher elevation.

Want me to give MIB a virtual slap for what I know he was going to say, Valentine? I think that you've had enough of that particular 's' word.

Okay...let me explain to ya'll what a dork I am... I read MIB's reply and I couldn't understand what he meant by "sn." I swear I thought he meant screen name and then I thought he meant signature but the post still didn't make sense to me. I even asked Drago what he thought it meant (I read it to him while he was lying on the couch) and he couldn't figure it out either. It wasn't until I looked at it right now and reread it where I noticed what you almost said, MIB. Slap him for me, 4C

I think I really do fit in here, if only for the reason that MIB and I think alike. When he posted sn, I knew from one of the other threads that he meant something that started with sn that had been brought up repeatedly in that other thread. Especially since your post had referred to something water related. Hey, MIB, *****SLAP!!!!!***** Be nice to Val, will you.
