Just a little thread to let us all get to know each other some...
So, what do you do?
I work at a restaurant with MIB and qapollo. On Thursdays, I work in the kitchen, do prep work and prepare trays to be sent out (and four hundred other things too) and on Friday and Saturday, I wait tables. Also if they need me to fill in on Wednesdays, I do - either in the kitchen or waiting tables. I've pretty much done everything but cook.
Other than that, I have four days a week off.
;D

... i've A LWAYS wanted to work in a bookstore.. a nice 2nd-hand out-of-the-way one.. I am SO jealous Raistlin.. Last year I finished my degree in Archaeology, and now undertaking my Honours year.. meaning i have a 15,000 word thesis due in a couple of months my project is about a particular behaviour acted out on some weapons for burial in SE Asian Bronze and Iron Ages sites.. its really cool - some weapons were intentionally maimed for burial.. said to be "killed" in the earlier literature (60s & 70s) and never really researched.. so that is what i am doing LOL u guys are probably yawning, but this is the work of the last nearly 8 years education.. (I started working towards my degree when i was 15/16 - had chosen my university and studied my butt off to get in LOL) - and after my thesis is done i will be out on the meat market.. i hope i can find some work for myself.. I've got plans for doing both my Masters and PhD, but i want to get some experience under my belt first.. interests are in Bronze and Iron Age cultures of Asia (currently Southeast Asia, but have always had interests in the Steppes region, the Gobi desert and India etc so...), S America, and Continental Europe.. and particularly to do with Weaponry (I am totally obsessed with blades LOL), Warfare and Metallurgy.. hoping to specialise in Southeast Asia (the Thai, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos area) and to perhaps focus on the whole metallurgy/weaponry/warfare area, but i just wanna excavate all of it really.. I am really interested in the cultural traits of this region, and my plans for the future have changed because of this.. sorry..... i kinda wax lyrical when it comes to archaeology LOL Xenopaul and PrincessButtercup, i had to say something about ur avs LOL I love both those movies and i got a sappy smile from reading "as you wish....." awwwwww.....

I like working in the bookstore. It is a good way to get the books I want for cheap.

I am also jealous of Raistlin...
I am a helper in the restaraunt with those goofs too. We are all victims of KP. I wait tables one night, and do prep and help the chef two days, then two other days I work in a pharmacy. that's for now... I am hoping to get a job as a teachers aid asap, and retire as that.
I have been a waitress, cooks helper, animal caregiver, pharmacy tech, choir director, pizza maker, cake decorator, deli-worker, cashier, dish putter-upper, soccer mom... probably others I can't remember...
If wishes came true I would be a contemporary christian singer.

Hi All! I am a purchasing supervisor for an automotive logistics company. Basically what we do is purchase automotive parts for General Motors and Ford and then package, kit and distribute them to all of the dealerships around North America and Canada. So everytime you go to the dealership for service and get your car fixed, chances are one of the parts they are using came from my plant. I live just south of Detroit so most of the jobs around here are automotive. It's pretty stressful but it pays the bills and allows me to obtain the things I need and want. So for the most part I sit at a desk and push paper. Well....I also teach and lead others which is one of the more rewarding things about my job. Enough about my boring life, I want to hear more about the cooking

That's neat BlackCat... we have family friends who live in Monroe - my Dad's army buddy to be exact. He became like a godfather to me and we actually named our son after him. I've only been up to visit him once, but he and his wife took Marii and I up to Mackinaw Island and then on up to the Soo Locks and into Canada. Michigan is really a beautiful state. I enjoyed it immensely. And here's a picture of the cookin' - what I do for a livin'

I only live about 15 miles from Monroe and I went to Mackinac Island over the summer. Its really nice up there! The water is beautiful. Happy you like my state. Where does you and your wife live (if you want to share that)? Blackcat
