Bless your soul for posting this MIB! ;D I was thinking of doing it a while back but I had forgotten to do so. (I'm going to mention a few spoilers so if any of you don't want to know anything about the movie, don't read the rest of this post) _____________________________________________________________________ I AM SO GEEKING OUT ABOUT THIS MOVIE! _____________________________________________________________________ Not only can we expect a darker Peter Parker as he's evolving with his spider abilities, we have Harry (his ex-best friend) who is about to take the path of his father and become a villain, sworn against Spiderman. He's not going to be the HobGoblin (as he is in the comics) just yet. In this one, he's going to be more of just a pre-mature, orange version of his father's GreenGoblin. He will be a minor villain. Our major villain for the movie will be Sandman. As you can see from the trailer, the effects for his sand-morphing powers look amazing. The FX guys probably dove into the techniques found in Mummy and Mummy Returns because the sand moves great! Rumors have it that Sandman will actually be tied into the man that killed Uncle Ben in the first movie. I'm not sure I like this idea all too much but I do have to admit, it's a nice tie in and connection between the 1st and 3rd movie. The thing I'm thinking is that Sandman's hand in Uncle Ben's death will only anger Peter and probably release some of that darkness he's holding back within him (possibly doing something regrettable---unhero like). We can also expect to see Gwen Stacy in this film. She's a love interest to Peter Parker in the comics but as we all saw in the second film, Peter and MJ are going to settle down and get serious. So where does Gwen come in? This brings up the thought that MJ probably won't be sticking around too long in the movie, if you know what I mean (but that contradicts what happened in the comics...it's the opposite. Gwen and Peter were together, she died but then her death brought MJ and Peter closer). But probably the best thing about this third film will be the introduction of one of the greatest (in my opinion) villains in Spiderman history....Venom. We all see that the symbiote gets to Peter and it changes his suit (and his persona) but that very symbiote gets to Brock which in turn makes him Venom. From what I've read, he will be CGI based but that's probably just for his face. So we can all count on the huge jaw, sharp teeth and saliva all over the place! He will not be fighting Spiderman in this film (or at least not for a big fight sequence) but his story will be introduced and his character revealed. It will probably end up that we only get a glimpse of him by the end of the third movie. He would then be the main villain of the fourth.

*shakes with anticipation... tries not to wet himself* I've been wondering how they would handle the black costume. Unfortunately it is inconceivable to recreate the Secret Wars story for the movies (but how FREAKIN' cool would that be?) I'm also doubting that it will even be alien... have you heard?

I actually read that it WAS going to be alien but there are being very tight with giving out information. They haven't explained a lot of things and that which has leaked out is all in speculation. I still can't believe they are going to bring Venom into these films. In my opinion, I think Brock is the second best comic book villain of all time...when he become Venom...I'm just....I'm just...I'm just going to...... ::faints:: ;D

You guys are dorks.
Nah, MIB knows I look forward to those movies a lot myself. Haven't had a chance to dig up stuff like you guys have, but it's still something to look forward to. Personally, I liked the first one better than the second one (though I loved Molina as Doc Oc - he was TOO awesome) but I'm still looking forward to the third one. With a Spidey-brother like MIB, how could I not look forward to it?

^ LOL!!! I'm guilty! I'm a dork! ;D
I can't wait to see how they are going to go about this story. Not making Harry the Hobgoblin yet means he'll be back for the fourth film (in full costume), but that's when we are expecting to see Venom in action...I can't wait!
::mouth waters:: I can't wait to see that movie poster at my local theater that way I can walk up to it and pet it. I don't care who's watching! I want to touch it! ;D

What are your favorite scenes from the first two movies? My favorite is the scene on the train in the second movie. The one where Peter saves everyone by physically stopping the train just in time and then collapses. All the passengers rally to his aid and even though they see his face you know they won't tell anyone because the appreciate what he did. That scene rocks!

^ My body hurt after watching that scene! But that whole fight sequence was great. I don't like anyone discovering that he's Spiderman that's why I didn't like 2 as much as 1 but of course it was going to happen anyways (it's called secret identity for a reason---I just don't like the volunerability that comes with that). But the fight scene was sweet! First One: When he's fighting with Green Goblin in the abandoned building and he's getting his butt kicked. The whole thing is very raw, very edgy but I love it that Peter uses the memory of Uncle Ben to give him strength again. Second One: After losing his powers because of his uncertainty of who is he and who is he meant to be, Doc Oc takes MJ captive and Peter is watching them go up a building. He sees that he no longer needs his glasses and that the strength in his muscles is returning. He drops the glasses on the floor and curls his hand into a tight fist. LOVED that scene. It was him just finally realizing it's his destiny to be Spiderman and he was going to fully embrace his gift. Brilliant!

Mary Jane Watson will be joined by Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard)...Kristen Dunst on having another girl on set. "It's so funny. Everyone asks me that like it's a competitive thing, but Bryce and I got along better than anybody," she explained. "I was happy to have another girl to share all of that testosterone with. It was nice to come to set and have a girl to hang out with. Her character adds another type of woman that puts Peter in a position obviously with conflict with me and lying and this and all of those things just to create more drama in our relationships." www.superherohype.com/news/featuresnews.php?id=4761
